Dr. Camilla Hoyos is a Research Leader in the Centre for Sleep and Chronobiology at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and a National Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow at Macquarie University’s Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences. Her research investigates how sleep disorders, insufficient or poorly timed sleep affect health, focusing on whether treating sleep problems can lower the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and dementia. She also leads a project testing a mobile‑app‑delivered sleep therapy (SleepFix) for people with chronic low back pain and insomnia.
