The primary focus of the Airway Physiology and Imaging Group is to investigate why airways and lungs malfunction in people with various diseases—such as asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, and the respiratory consequences of bone‑marrow transplantation—and to study the impact of important environmental exposures like air pollution, bushfire smoke, and smoking. Their research aims to give doctors better ways to understand, assess, and treat patients.
