Dr Andrew Ng is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician, Senior Staff Specialist, and Director of the Centre for Sleep Disorders & Respiratory Failure at St George Hospital. He holds a PhD in upper airway physiology, with research recognized by the NSW Health Minister in 2015 and 2016. His current research focuses on respiratory failure and sleep disorders, especially the intersection of medicine, dentistry, and surgery. Dr Ng advocates for respiratory and sleep medicine nationally and locally, runs a clinician wellness program at his hospital, has co‑chaired the Oro‑facial Special Interest Group of the Australasian Sleep Association, served on various research, professional standards, and ethics committees, and continues to teach, supervise, and examine specialists‑in‑training and other clinicians.
